Immigration team members

The team is supervised by Indrani Currie.

Indrani Currie - Advisor

Indrani joined the Law Centre in 2001. She speaks Bengali, Urdu and Hindi and brought with her significant experience gained mainly in asylum law, but also in the broader areas of immigration and nationality law. Indrani has substantial experience in representation at first-tier and further appeal hearings and is accredited both to the Level 2 and supervisor LSC standards. During her time at the Law Centre, Indrani has significantly expanded the Immigration team’s judicial review and Court of Appeal work. She works closely with many of the leading barristers in the field of immigration and human rights law and has gained the respect of chambers throughout the Midlands and London.

Robert Bircumshaw - Solicitor

Robert is an experienced immigration and asylum law solicitor, including representation at immigration appeals.

Inger den Haan - Advisor

Inger recently joined the Immigration Team as a casework assistant. She is an accredited caseworker (OISC level 3/LSC Level 2) with extensive experience in all areas of immigration, asylum and nationality law. Inger has a particular interest in EEA law and nationality law. She speaks Dutch, and has some fluency in French and German.

Ravinder Sandhu - Advisor

Ravinder is a trainee solicitor who will have completed her seats in Immigration Law, Public Law and Employment Law by the end of 2012. She is also an OISC Level 3 accredited immigration and asylum advisor. She has experience in a wide range of immigration and asylum issues. Ravinder has worked on a number of the immigration team’s judicial review and Court of Appeal matters. Ravinder speaks fluent Punjabi.

Tanya Corrigan - Advisor

Tanya is an OISC Level 3 accredited immigration and asylum advisor. She has experience in a wide range of immigration and asylum issues with particular interest in the field of human rights. Tanya speaks fluent French.

Stephanie McConnell - Advisor

Stephanie is an OISC Level 3 immigration and asylum law advisor. She has experience in a wide range of immigration and asylum issues and representing at appeals with particular interest in working with Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children.

Ajmal Rahimedad - Advisor

Ajmal recently joined the Immigration Team as a casework assistant, having specialised in Immigration Law at university.
