Law Centre gets additional funding to fight discrimination

Coventry Law Centre has been awarded additional funding to fight discrimination in the Coventry area. The newly formed Equality and Human Rights Commission awarded the money on the back of two years raising awareness of discrimination issues under the 'It Could Happen to You' campaign.
As a result of the funding, the Law Centre has been able to:
- - Provide regular drop-in sessions across the city to advise on discrimination issues
- - Provide a dedicated Discrimination Advice line
- - Worked with young people in the city to produce a DVD to highlight and raise awareness of discrimination issues (available to schools and youth groups)
- - Provide free training to small Employers in the city
